Mom Searching for Support Group

My daughter was just diagnosed with Autism and I am having a hard time dealing with this.
I have been looking for support groups, can you help point me in the right direction?

Please post a comment to this entry and tell us where you live. There is a support group at our church in Little Rock, Arkansas. Also, some other moms have just started a support group in the community. You might also check with your doctor's office or an organization such as Easter Seals. They can probably point you in the right direction in your community.

I am Canadian living in Doha, Qatar in the Middle East. There are no support groups here to my knowledge. But my son goes to a great special school so I have that help. I am looking for an email buddy to share our difficulties and experiences.
